That's right. Fuel deliveries were slightly delayed but getting through to fuel stations just fine. As long as the usual morons continued to just buy fuel as normal (as in, waiting until you've got less than a quarter of a tank before filling up) everything would have just carried on as normal.
But as usual, along came the media and over exaggerated the situation, blew the whole thing out of proportion and panicked people into thinking that they may never get fuel again.
Cue all the selfish ignorant morons from 2020, you know the ones - even now they still have 500 toilet rolls in storage and 30kg of flour, yeast etc. Those people, off they went in their droves - all of them with more than three quarters of a tank of fuel in their cars and went to squeeze another £10 in case they can't get any. Even though they wouldn't be changing their normal routines or journeys.
Leaving the rest of us that actually had less than a quarter of a tank worrying whether we'd actually be able to get to work or get the kids to school.
Just goes to show that this covid19 pandemic has proven something I have said for a long time: people are horrible and when it comes to the crunch, no matter how caring and considerate people pretend to be, ultimately when the chips are down, it's every man (or woman) for themselves and screw anyone else. Pure ignorant selfishness, English people showing their true selves to the rest of the world. Morons, take a bow.
