I have officially had enough of being ill.
After managing to survive 30+ years of nothing more than a mild cold or flu, I have spent the last 6 - 10 months being ill in some form or another.
Having survived the madness of almost 4 weeks in hospital and the aftermath of that (including repeat visits to hospital, regular community nurse appointments and follow-up appointments with surgical teams), I then managed to become infected with Covid.
Now, I have developed some sort of foot ailment, where the heel area of my right foot has been incredeibly sensitive to the slightest pressure and resutling in quite intense pain. This now seems to have subsided a little, only for the ankle area of my left foot to now be extremely painful and slightly swollen.
Strangely I did nothing out of the ordinary in terms of physical activity to bring this on and I also have not done anything to injure the affected areas. So why would I be suffering this pain?
It's almost as if my body has decided I've had it too easy over the previous 30+ years and is making up for it by having multiple illnesses affect me in a short space of time.
I dread what may be coming next.
