Rising house prices, rising fuel prices, rising energy prices, increased taxes and interest rates on loans/mortgages, increased food prices, credit/debt problems.
I could fix the problems of the UK in one fell swoop; the UK's biggest problem is people. We have far too many of them and what do we need them for? Why do we need a huge population? Answer; we don't. People cost money - lots of money (unemployment benefit, housing, policing, medical support etc) it's a bloody huge bill and it just keeps getting bigger.
So it seems to me that the answer is blatantly obvious - population control. We need to impose restrictions on the number of children people have and put an enormous emphasis on people not having children. It simply is not necessary for people to have 3, 4, 5 kids, it's just creating more problems, putting more strain on society and the economy and eventually something's going to break - it has to. Yet we could cure the problem pretty quickly and effectively by imposing a ban on people having children. Stop IVF treatment immediately and make it illegal to have more than one child, offer special tax refunds and other incentives to people who have no children to further entice people to remain childless.
Simple mathematical calculation:
reduce the size of the population = reduce the size of the problem
