...it seems such a long way away. I am desperately trying to sell the flat to raise funds to pay debts and reduce the number of bills I have to pay. This has necessitated a move back to my parents (bless them for taking me back in) in order to accomplish this. Additional strain is caused by the extended drive to work now involved (100 mile round trip). It seems that however hard I try to resolve this "debt thing" it will continue to haunt me for some time. I am over the overdraft by an astonishing £94 and I am still paying bills on the flat even though I no longer live there (water and electricity at the moment have yet to be cancelled). The best part is the cancellation of my Internet access at the flat - provided by Supanet. I have so far spent a total of 3.5 hours holding on their cancellation line, I sent them an e-mail requesting assistance with getting the account cancelled - only to be told to call the cancellation line!
Comments:
Would now be a good time to ask you for long-overdue hosting fees ?
Hah! Only if you were a very warped and sick individual – how much do I owe you thesedays?
Supanet have now finally agreed to cancel my account after I sent them a deluge of e-mails pointing out how stupid they were being – of course it could also have something to do with me refusing to pay for the service any more..
It has certainly been a long time since we discussed payment of 1p’s and 2p’s; although I do recall that I said a World Wide Web without Stuey wasn’t really a proper World Wide Web and it would be disservice to the Internet community if I were to pull your site.
I’m positively swimming in server hardware and bandwidth at the moment so I’m not fussed about a few quid for a few megabytes of disk space and the odd gigabyte of traffic every once in a while.
I will point out that my lil’ ol business is now doing ADSL/ADSL2+/SDSL at very reasonable prices with absolutely no traffic snooping/assinine filtering like what you have come to expect of certain companies which employ nothing but the most highly-trained technicians; obviously you don’t want another ADSL service right now given the current topic but you want your own Internet connection again, feel free to give me a shout!
Excellent news, glad to hear that Spilsby.net is leaping ahead. Now, when is the Spilsby.net website going to get a full overhaul eh?
I’m currently in the process of moving everything into dedicated business premises and once I have everything sorted out, I would be more than happy to invite you over for tea and biccies.
The website won’t be long now – on the final hurdle now – card payment integration but there are a few other things in the pipeline too.
Tea and biccies sounds excellent! Let me know the date of the grand unveiling, it would be most wonderful to catch up with you young sir!
Hah!
A cruel twist of fate means that I am unable to sell my flat and I am therefore forced to move back in (living at parents is now taking even more of a toll on the wallet due to increased travel costs – which should have been offset by the sale of the flat and a monthly outgoing reduction). So I am most likely moving back into the flat in the next month!
